We are delighted to invite you to the prestigious Meaningful Tourism Award 2024, an event that celebrates excellence and innovation in sustainable and meaningful tourism practices. Now in its third year, the award will be held during the HTM Himalayan Travel Mart in Kathmandu.
- The list of the award winners will be announced as part of the Himalayan Travel Mart in
Kathmandu on June 6th June 2024.

In each category, a Gold, Silver and Bronze Award will be selected from the applications by an international jury. If you have an initiative, a project or a project which fits with the provision of benefits and satisfaction for one of the stakeholders, please apply for the Meaningful Tourism Award 2024. Application is of course free of charge.

Application Details:

- Application Requirements: Include information about your product, project or initiative in
electronic form (Powerpoint, PDF, video, link to website, etc.), and a brief explanation of why
your activity deserves recognition as a Meaningful Tourism endeavour.
Meaningful Tourism Award 2023
In 2022, the Meaningful Tourism Award will for the first time offer the opportunity to recognize Best Practice Examples of Meaningful Tourism projects and initiatives from around the world.
The Meaningful Tourism Award is organised in six categories according to the six main stakeholders of Meaningful Tourism. In each categories Awards in Gold, Silver and Bronze will be awarded for work done either by of for the specific stakeholder group to improve quality, benefits and satisfaction.

- Environment / future generations
In 2023, the Meaningful Tourism Award was organised for the second time and the winners were announced during the QTM Qatar Travel Mart in Doha.
Seven companies and organisations were recognised as best practice examples of Meaningful Tourism. The diversity of the winners and their work reflects the Meaningful Tourism approach that sustainable tourism is only possible when all stakeholders benefit and are satisfied.
